Little of interest this week.  The stimp on Friday afternoon was 8’ 6”.  We measured soon after a morning’s quite heavy drizzle:  the greens were quite wet.  Visible moisture obviously affects the roll; we would expect the dry speed to be over 9’ - perhaps the charity eventers noticed that?

The greens were sarel rolled on Monday to provide shallow aeration.  More severe treatment is planned for 'greens week' which starts on Monday 16.  The fertiliser last week has unsurprisingly  stimulated more growth; they have  been cut every day and were rolled on Friday morning.

It looks like the second phase of the course project will start Monday 7 October.  More on this anon.
