Triangular Match at Prestbury

Here are some photos from the second triangular match at Prestbury GC on Sunday, 25th July.

The weather forecast was wildly wrong which meant that it was a fantastic hot, sunny day weather wise, the LC got lost on the way there, Helen Hughes got run off the road by a BMW enroute & the Vice-Captain, Phil had his shirt on inside out and all before a ball was struck in anger.

We were treated like Royalty, with a buffet stye breakfast on arrival including a bacon sarnie, tea, squash and biscuits at the halfway house and a lovely meal (Duck) with 2 bottles of wine per 4 ball after you’d completed your round, luckily for me Phil was driving us home

Prestbury Captain, Nick & LC, Helen presented Ann & I with a memento on the 1st Tee (picture 2) and during the prize giving in the evening they presented us with a cut glass trophy as a show of the friendship between the 2 clubs.

Our golf (Eaton) wasn’t as good as Sandiway & Prestbury’s so they’ve both pulled out a gap on Eaton but there is only one point after 2 rounds between Prestbury & Sandiway.

Kind Regards,

Simon Dangar
