Shortly before the current lock-down started there was a nasty incident on a local course, when a rambler was hit by a ball. He suffered a significant injury which needed emergency surgery.
As a result we have reviewed our own precautions regarding the right of way across the course: it runs from the canal entry by the 9th tee to the 1st tees. With professional inputs, the Health and Safety committee have specified new signage to alert public and players to the risks. Note that these are intended to protect not just the public but also players and the Club.
Some photos are attached. The signs are prominent - for good reason.
