2018 Update - kingfishers, ravens, herons, woodpeckers are regularly to be seen or heard.
The Wildlife Sightings Book was started in September 2004 to encourage members to record sightings seen during their golf rounds. The handwritten entries are regularly transcribed to add to this list - also held on the Club’s website, see below
Along with this list you can also see a summary of sightings on the course, arranged in accordance with an abridged version of the “British List” of birds, as published by the British Ornithologists’ Union. Eaton sightings are shown by means of an asterisk, year by year.
Sightings prior to September 2004 are those made by Peter Adhemar, Gavin Clarke and Micky Moore.
Among members' more interesting sightings are Raven, Hobby, Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail and the extremely rare Ferruginous Duck and Rough Legged Buzzard.
Please help us keep this list up to date by recording your own sightings! The “Wildlife Sightings Book” is on the chest below the trophy cabinet. B Payne
