Dale Marmion

Since becoming a Professional in 2006 Dale Marmion has been an attached Professional to Eaton. Prior to turning Professional Dale was a member of the club and in 2005 he represented England as an amateur in Mexico. Dale was born in 1985 and has always lived in this area. In 2008 he won the Europro twice and was in the Europro order of merit. In 2009 he has taken part in European tour events as well as the Cherbourg and Australian Opens.

Update received from Dale February 2011
Last year was obviously a disappointing year and so was the year before when in 09 I graduated from the PGA  Europro onto the European Challenge Tour and that's where I'm aiming to get back to.  Since thenI lost a bit of confidence but always felt like I was close to getting back to my best, like in most walks of lige when things are going well  you tend to change things to make you better i.e. coaches, psychologist, short game coaches, putting coaches etc and I was an example of this and really all I needed to do was get my confidence back, I obviously had the game because I had won twice 4 months before graduating but instead I tried  to find a harder answer to get back to my best so over this winter I have gone back to basics by just playing  and doing what I do best!  I  was getting to caught up  in trying to have the perfect golf swing etc and already I have seen  massive improvements, I'm still working hard with my coach Ade Hill  but only on small things and like  I said my game has improved just need have a few good tournaments and regain my winning mentality and get to where I was to be The European Tour!.

I've been working extremely hard in the gym, in 5 times a week either doing pilates, spin classes and obviously strengthing work and I feel a lot better for it!  been working  on my weak parts and trying to improve on my flexibility because I'm naturally tight so that's been hard work but I'm finding small improvements the more I do it.

This year I'm going to be playing on the Europro and I'm going to give my 100% attention to it, that meaning not going to play to a Challenge Tour  even last minute and not being prepared for it!  I need to get back  to the Challenge Tour and competing on there which I didn't do when I played on there, then from there onto the European Tour where I'll hopefully be a stronger and better player.

Also would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the Eaton members for their ongoing support and hope they will support me over the coming years, hopefully soon you wll have a European Tour player  to follow.
