New Copses in Play

 

UPDATE re COPSES

 

 

From 1 November 2006, all copses will be in play with the exception of the hollow between the 10 th / 18 th holes.

 

The 10 th / 18th copse will remain out of play (white-lined and identified by yellow signs) and should continue to be treated as ground under repair from which play is prohibited. If a ball lies on or within the white line, or if the defined area interferes with a player's stance or his intended swing the player must take relief under rule 25-1:

 

The player must lift the ball and drop it without penalty within one club length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief

Three new copses will be brought into play on 1 st April 2006:

  1 st .   beyond fairway bunker on right hand side

  2 nd   opposite fairway bunker

  16 th   right hand side, short of fairway bunker
