Eaton is a members club and the members raised the money, some £1.5 million by forming a Company and offering shares to build the course and clubhouse. The course, which was designed by Donald Steel opened in June 1993. You would be required to become a shareholder by your 30 th by purchasing shares from somebody wishing to resign and the share requirement is three for a single player and five for a married couple, the share price currently being £300 each. The first share is required at age 30, second at 35 and the final third share at age 40.)
